UniPHORMS is a subsidiary of Berlin-based education company PHORMS Education, which also operates the PHORMS private schools. Shortly after the school’s founding, the idea arose to introduce its own school uniform, modeled after English schools. This was intended to foster a sense of belonging among the students and counteract the brand obsession often prevalent among young people. However, the school uniform was not meant to be a rigid “uniform.” Despite overarching, shared features, a sufficient number of variations and combinations were available to allow for individuality within the defined parameters. Furthermore, the school uniform was produced according to ethical principles and using organically grown natural materials. In 2007, Sebastian Klammer Graphic Design was commissioned to create the company’s branding. This resulted in a new logo, based on the corporate design of the PHORMS family, as well as business stationery including business cards, various print materials, brochures, catalogs, and the website, featuring a custom WordPress-based web design.
