FIRSTCRACK Coffee Roasters is the private brand of the small but highly sophisticated PAKOLAT coffee roasting plant in Berlin’s Raumerstrasse. PAKOLAT processes high-quality single-origin coffees directly on site – in a more than 100-year-old roasting machine that has been painstakingly restored from scratch. FIRSTCRACK makes high demands on itself and its coffee. And this was to be reflected in the new packaging developed by Sebastian Klammer Graphic Design Berlin. Elegant and confident, yet at the same time discreet and with a certain understatement.

The hand-roasted coffees from FIRSTCRACK Coffee Roasters Berlin come from selected coffee plantations around the globe. Apart from finely composed blends, FIRSTCRACK mainly sells single-origin coffees, which originate from a single plantation. The coffees from the different regions are characterized by a variety of different flavors. To make it easier for customers to find their favorite coffee among the range, the otherwise minimally black coffee bags were marked with color-coded labels that subtly allude to the respective region of origin. Small tags on the coffee bag provide more detailed information about the coffee, its place of origin and its peculiarities.
